Strathcona Spirits Velvet Cream is an artisanal, small-batch cream liqueur produced by Edmonton’s flagship craft distillery. Unlike mass-market cream liqueurs that often rely on artificial flavor compounds, Velvet Cream is defined by its "bark and bean" infusion process. It features a unique base spirit—a blend of Puerto Rican rum and Canadian Prairie rye.

Spirit Description

The liqueur has a rich, velvety texture and a pale cream appearance. On the nose, it is highly aromatic, dominated by the scent of authentic Madagascar Bourbon vanilla beans. On the palate, it delivers a lush, "nondenominational" sweetness that is balanced by subtle, earthy, and herbal undertones derived from infusions of Birch Bark and Red Willow. These local botanical additions provide a hint of "caramelized wood" that prevents the liqueur from being cloying.
