Kapriol Grapefruit and Hibiscus Gin - 700 ml

Kapriol Grapefruit and Hibiscus Gin is produced in Italy, within the region of Veneto. The spirit is crafted by Distilleria dell'Alpe, which was established in 1948 by Ferruccio de Bernard in the hillside village of Bastia d'Alpago. In 2002, the distillery was acquired by the Maschio family, historical Grappa and Prosecco producers, who revived the brand's original recipes while introducing contemporary artisanal expressions.

Description

This gin is based on the original 1948 recipe for Kapriol Dry Gin and features a selection of pink grapefruits and hibiscus flowers sourced from southern Italy. The botanicals, which include juniper, bay leaves, angelica, chamomile, and mugo pine, are infused in a wheat based alcohol before being distilled in historic copper pot stills built in 1947. The nose is intense with notes of citrus, juniper, rosemary, and pine, while the palate offers a harmonious and elegant contrast between the bitterness of grapefruit and the floral sweetness of hibiscus.
